Nicholas Zoch
Managing Director

Nicholas joined Progression Group in 1988 and progressed to Partner in 1994.  He holds a Bachelor of Business (majoring in Accounting), is a Certified Practising Accountant and has completed his Masters of Taxation through the University of NSW.  Nicholas is also accredited as a Taxation Specialist by CPA Australia.In addition to his extensive taxation experience, Nicholas also provides Board Advisory Services to a number of our business clients.  This is an area of our practice that Nicholas is passionate about as he can see the real value such a service provides to those business owners who are skilled practitioners in their field but require assistance with business management and guidance.

Tim Johnson
Operations Manager

Tim joined Progression Group in February 2015 in the role of Operations Manager. After a 20 year career in the banking industry Tim made the move to accounting some 20 years ago.  Tim brings with him a wealth of experience from both his banking background and also through his exposure to a diverse range of clients in his various accounting roles.  Tim's role is to manage the day to day operations of the practice as well as oversee his own extensive portfolio of clients. Tim holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (with an Accounting major) and is a Certified Practising Accountant.

Barbara Craven
Practice Administration Manager

Barb has been a part of the Progression Group team since 2001.  Her role as Practice Administration Manager is essential to ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of the practice.  Barb's role includes staff management, practice reporting and internal accounting requirements.

Rick Hartnett
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

Rick holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1981. He worked for Peat Marwick Mitchell in Melbourne and PNG before joining a small Melbourne practice in 1986. Together with Kim, Rick established the Hartnett & Co practice in 1995 and he has extensive experience in providing services to a diverse SME and family business client base. The merger of the Hartnett & Co practice with Progression in March 2021 has enabled Rick to focus on the growing demand for consulting and advisory services including business start-ups, exit strategies, ownership restructures and succession planning.
